Maine Businesses for Sustainability (MBS) is an association of businesses committed to creating a new business climate that recognizes that long-term, sustainable profitability is directly linked to acting in a socially responsible, ethical and compassionate manner. MBS seeks to provide the tools for businesses to accomplish these goals.

American Gem Society (AGS), dedicated to proven ethics, knowledge and consumer protection, was established in 1934 to set and maintain the highest possible standards of business ethics and professionalism in the jewelry industry. Today, American Gem Society members continue their dedication to ethics, knowledge and consumer protection.

Jewelers Vigilance Committee (JVC), the legal compliance expert in the jewelry industry is a not-for-profit trade association since 1917 whose mission is to maintain the jewelry industry’s highest ethical standards.

Jewelers of America (JA) is both a center of knowledge for the jeweler and an advocate for professionalism and high social, ethical, and environmental standards in the jewelry trade.

Maine Public Broadcasting Network (MPBN). The mission of the Maine Public Broadcasting Network is to engage the minds and enrich the lives of the people in the communities that we serve. MPBN advances this mission through a broad array of programs and services that inspire, educate and entertain.

Freeport Community Services (FCS) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide a forum for assessing community needs, facilitate programs designed to address them and to provide opportunities for community members to support and participate as volunteers in a variety of activities to benefit the community.

Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC) is an international non-profit organization whose ission is to promote responsible, ethical, social and environmental practices throughout the diamond and gold jewelry industry, from mine to retail. As a condition of membership, members must apply responsible practices through both self-assessment and independent third party monitoring.
